Parks and gardens offer at this moment a treasure of leaves, fruits and colored berries of all kinds. And if we used them to make some decos all simple and full of atmosphere?

1. THE GARLAND OF LEAVES

Tie a string at the base of leaves, sprigs of berries … and arrange it in a garland in the garden. For this composition worthy of a still life, we added a large glass tealight.

2. THE MAGIC WAND

Thread leaves, chestnuts, chestnuts … on a wire. To pierce the hardest elements, use a small diameter wood drill bit.

3 THE COLORS OF FIRE

Create beautiful orange-red compositions by combining small decorative squash and rosehip twigs with berries.

4. THE LEAF TRAY

Collect leaves of different sizes in the forest. Have them dry for a few hours between two big books. Then decorate them with simple patterns with a white paint marker.

5. THE APPLES OF LIGHT

YOU NEED

  • red apples
  • tealight candles
  • a pen
  • a cutter
  • a small spoon

HOW TO DO

  1. Remove the stem of the apple. Place the candle-warm dish on the top of the apple. Bypass with ballpoint pen.
  2. Incise the apple with the cutter following the line of ballpoint pen.
  3. Carefully evacuate the circle with a spoon so you can insert the tealight into the apple.

HOW TO KEEP THEM AS LONG AS POSSIBLE?

Most plants degrade fairly quickly. Leaves curl up, apples shrivel … Like a bouquet of flowers, your autumn composition must be ultra-cool to be resplendent.

You will enjoy your composition longer if you install it outside , on the terrace or in the garden. Indoors, avoid at least the rooms too hot and direct sunlight.

Some elements are more weather resistant . Like the squash, which you can admire for several weeks before tasting. Or the physalis and chestnut, which dry slowly keeping their shape and color.

If you want to keep a composition that has dried well, spray it with hairspray .
